Our mission is to unlock smart-meter data across the globe to enable a new wave of energy innovation

As the world is electrifying, building infrastructure that gives developers access to electricity data has never been more important. Over 1 billion smart-meters have already been rolled out across the world — installations continue at a rate of 100 million per year. However, this data continues to be locked away in the enormous data lakes with clunky user interfaces and archaic authorisation flows.

⚡ Openvolt's mission is to unlock smart-meter data across the globe, providing infrastructure for developers to electrify everything. Now is the time to unlock this data. Unprecedented investment will flow into the electrification (and decarbonization) of the world in the coming years. €3.5 trillion investment is needed by 2030 to decarbonize Europe’s building stock. 14 million new EVs are to be sold in 2023 alone. The installation of Rooftop Solar and Heat Pumps in both commercial and residential homes. All consuming or generating electricity; all increasingly connected to smart meters. Openvolt's smart meter API will unlock the data to plan and manage electrified assets. We're a Europe based remote company with a dedication to having a climate impact. Founded by Dave Curran and Don O'Leary and backed by leading European investors, we're building data infrastructure to power the energy transition.
